Tsunami Club is one of the biggest Judo clubs in Ontario. Tsunami Club trains over a hundred students in its judo facility and this number grows constantly.
Most of them are children and youths in age 5-17. Tsunami Club methodology combines professional, intensive judo training with personal and life skills development. Tsunami Club shares with Judo Canada a vision that "...Judo is a teaching for life itself and with it we learn to overcome the pitfalls and obstacles of everyday living. These skills can be applied in all aspects of life including school, work, and personal relationships.
Between twenty five to sixty of Club students actively participate in Ontario and international judo tournaments and competitions. Tsunami Club repeatedly received 1st. place trophies for collecting the most medals among Ontario judo clubs. Tsunami won 1st team place on America's Cup Judo Championship in 2004.
In 2004, thirty six Tsunami Club judokas represented Canada at AM-CAN international tournament - one of the premier judo tournaments in North America. Tsunami Club has won an honorary 2nd team places in 2003 and 2004.
